Early last year the company caught the SSD market by surprise with the release of their 830 Series SSD, which was followed in late 2012 by the 840 and 840 Pro that provide awesome performance and focus not only on performance, but also on reliability and long-term performance stability.

So the big difference in terms of performance you can likely trace to the flash memory in each drive.

You realize that the more you store on a SSD the slower it becomes right? People are mainly using them for their OS and a FEW of their frequently used programs to maintain the speed. I would recommend upgrading to a larger SSD if you are using it as a primary job. Rule of thumb is to never go above 30% of storage capabilities with an SSD.
Excellent comparison. I picked up an 840 Pro from last year and it has been good so far. However, I have noticed that when I start up my laptop now the load time has slowed down a ton from when I first installed it. The drive is about 70% full and is the 256gb, any ideas where to check?
