Released March, 2013
  • 120 GB
  • 2.5" SATA III

Even with the 20nm flash on board we were able to exceed the 550MB/s reads and 520MB/s write specifications on the ATTO benchmark and the IOPS performance appeared to be very good as well.

OCZ Releases Vertex 3.20 with 20nm IMFT NAND

by Kristian Vättö |
In the near future the Vertex 3.20 will be OCZ's mainstream model, which is why it was important for OCZ to cut the costs by moving to smaller process node NAND.
Either way, it doesn't make sense (at least yet) for OCZ to update their high-end SSDs with the slower 20nm NAND, which is why Vertex 4 and Vector will stick with 25nm IMFT NAND.

OCZ Releases Vertex 3 SSD With 20nm Flash

by Niels Broekhuijsen |
Daryl Lang, Senior VP of Product Management for OCZ stated that "OCZ is always looking for ways to deliver superior solid state drive storage performance and features, as well as making this technology more accessible to the complete range of customers.
The Vertex 3 has been a popular SSD series among consumers and implementing the newer, smaller profess geometry will not only extend its life, but enables mainstream users with an excellent computing experience at a competitive price point.
